Room status that night staff in Ibadan actually keep up to date
Why a simple clean, dirty and inspected status on every room works better than a detailed checklist nobody fills in.
Detailed housekeeping checklists look good on paper, but at 2am a single attendant covering two floors will not fill in twenty fields per room.
Three states, updated from a phone
Each room has one status: dirty, clean or inspected. Attendants change it from a phone as they finish a room. The front desk only assigns rooms that are inspected.
If it takes more than two taps, it will not be done on the night shift.
Housekeeping lead
Maintenance issues are logged separately against the room, so a broken air conditioner does not get lost in the cleaning notes.
